Now let's get to a little inspiration, shall we? I wanted to work with Rustic Cabin today to make sure it got a little love before the release.

I just love these earthy tones and I think they'll look amazing with a few of the ornaments I already have in my (admittedly) extensive collection.

I used the cable knit pattern die to create this stitching design on the first ornament. I chose to go with a tone-on-tone color scheme so the texture would really be the star of the show. This one feels just as lovely as it looks. And I like that it's masculine without being boring. The Indigo paired with Toasted Oat and Pearl has me very merry indeed!

Next up, I paired the striped design with an offset mini label. I think the star insert looks great with these stripes. The addition of the beads brings in a subtle touch of shine along that chevron stripe. You may notice in this Color Story that there's a brown thread that doesn't directly coordinate with any of the felt colors.

That's because the threads for the Pearl and Toasted Oat are so similar that it seemed like a missed opportunity to include both. Instead, I opted to include a brown to contrast with the lighter felt colors and blend in with the metallic brown beads and sequins.

The last ornament I'm going to share today incorporates the embroidered trees design. Instead of sewing the snowflakes in a typical pattern, I switched things up and actually sewed them into diamonds. The centers were a perfect spot to add a pop of color and sparkle with a bead. I also went with a red pom-pom to embellish the top of the cap and a felt button to dress up the brim a bit. I like that the small elements like the button, label, and small heart can add a bit of interest without overpowering the whole design. You could also go with an initial (using the Accessory Alphabet) to add even more personalization.

Thank you so much for joining me over the past few days. It's been a lot of fun to share these new designs with you and I can't wait to see how you will bring them to life! The release is today 10/1 at Noon EDT so set your clocks. Happy crafting and I'll see you again soon!

  • I was planning to order, and thought of it an hour late! So busy cleaning that I forgot – I know – how could I do that?? Now I’ll need to wait, because the bulb dies are out of stock!
