Poshta Presents - Wine Glass Charms!

Hello Friends! It's Thursday! The first Thursday of a new month, and that means a new Poshta Presents Guest Designer! For the month of September, we are joined by the talented Susana Alvizuri!

I came across Susana's beautiful work on Instagram and wanted to share her fun ideas on the blog! She has created a fun project for you today, perfect for the fast-approaching holiday season! Read on to learn how Susana created these adorable wine glass charms!

Today, I am sharing the first project I designed, using the smallest star die of the Folk Art Star Details die. I decided to make wine glass charms, combining the beautiful colors of the Holly Hill Color Story and matching sequins and beads of the same color combo. A fun and easy project, a nice way to show hostess appreciation as well as an addition to a girl's night out gathering. I used wine charm rings easy to find in local craft stores.

To create my wine glass charms, first I cut two small stars from the same color felt using the Folk Art Star Details die set. Then, I added 4 matching beads to the wine charm ring. I positioned one star on the wire ring so that the upper point of the star has 2 beads on the right side and 2 on the left. I find it best to adhere a tiny drop of hot glue so it won’t move during your stitching. Then, I stitched a matching sequin and a tiny bead to the center of the other star. Finally, I stacked both stars together, and sewed the perimeter with coordinating floss, making sure the charm ring is sandwiched in between them. Done!

Wow, what a fun hostess gift this would be! I love how you packaged them up in a cute organza bag, Susana. I think it would be really fun to make a bunch of these and have them on hand for holiday gatherings. They would make really fun wedding favors, great for New Year's Eve using metallic thread... the possibilities are endless! I can't wait to make some! Thank you for the inspiration, Susana, and thank you all for stopping by and spending part of your day with us today. We hope you will join us again next Thursday when Susana shares another project with you. Have a great day everyone!
