Poshta Presents - Seed Packet Inspired Banner

Hello friends! Happy Thursday! We are back again this week with another fun project by the talented Tracy Boyd! Read on to learn how Tracy created this beautiful seed packet inspired Easter banner!

For this week’s projects I made this Easter banner that I was inspired by seed packets. I mixed things up using linen material using Terial Magic. If you’re not familiar with this amazing product (thank you Chari Moss!) you just saturate the material and before it’s completely dry, you iron it.

This makes the material stiff and depending on the thickness of the material it can feel like a piece of paper. Once it’s been ironed you can then run the material through your die cutting machine with the die and it cuts like butta! I use a tiny craft iron but a full size iron works perfectly too!

I used the Banner Builder: Scoop Die to cut 2 pieces of the linen material and to give the banner pieces a little bit of dimension I added a layer of cotton batting, and then stitched together the pieces using DMC# 746.
For each banner piece, I cut a scalloped egg and accented with the eyelet detail from the Banded Egg Details Die in Tundra (DMC#3865). For the letters I used the Monogram Alphabet Dies in Sea Spray (DMC#776), Sweet Nectar (DMC#951), Chantilly (DMC#746), Peapod (DMC #3364), Satin Slipper (DMC#818) and Pixie (DMC#153).

I accented each panel with florals using two of my most loved die sets: Floral Heart Details dies and Gathered Garden dies, and of course I had to add some sparkle using coordinating sequins and seed beads from Poshta Design.

I also used ribbons from my stash and then I strung each panel onto jute twine and added Tundra 2.5cm wool balls in between each one.

Thank you so much, Tracy, for sharing your beautiful Easter banner with us! These colors are perfect for the season! Please join us again next Thursday to see another awesome project made by Tracy! Have a great week everyone!
Thank you for sharing this fabulous project, Tracy! Your use of linen and all the delicate details are perfection including the cute little bows.
I ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ anything using linen, the aesthetic it gives is just perfection, IMO.😊 And I have a bottle of this “magic” you speak of and now want to give it a go. Thank you for the beautiful inspiration.❤️
Oh, I love this!!
All I can say is “WOW!”
