Poshta Presents - Pet Birthday Crown!

Hello Friends!  It's a new month already, and that means it's time to introduce our Poshta Presents guest for the month of April, Emilie Walsh!

Emilie has an adorable project to share with you today.  Read on to learn how she created a super cute birthday crown for her little furry friend! Take it away, Emilie!

I created a birthday crown for my pup, Sugar, for my first project. The dies I’ve used are from the following: Birthday Crown, Birthday Crown Additions and Pawprint. The color palette I used is the Jelly Bean Color Story. I used fabric accents throughout my project using Terial Magic (thank you Chari Moss!) Terial Magic is a liquid fabric stabilizer that turns fabric into a paper-like material for die cutting.

 For the crown base, I die cut 1 set of the larger crown panel and 4 sets of the smaller panels from the Birthday Crown in Limelight and stitched with DMC #581. I stitched all the panels of the crown together after I finished with the customizations. 

For the decorative pieces of the larger crown panel, I die cut a Pawprint with the Duckling felt and free-hand stitched it with DMC #677. I also die cut the smallest of the two cupcakes from the Birthday Crown Additions. I cut red dot fabric treated with Terial Magic (DMC #3865) for the cupcake wrapper from my stash. For the whipped topping of the cupcake I cut from Tundra felt and stitched it with DMC #3865.

For the embellishments of the smaller panels, I die cut 4 sets of the trio of candles in the aqua dot fabric treated with Terial Magic and stitched it onto the panels with DMC #964. I used the base plate in the center of the panel and stitched the candles and flames accordingly. The candle lights are cut from Coral Reef felt and stitched with DMC #352.
