Good morning! Happy Thursday! Welcome back to another edition of Poshta Presents with our April guest, Emilie Walsh! Today, Emilie has a fun project for you that beautifully demonstrates the versatility in Poshta's products. Read on to learn how she took a pair of denim jeans from fine to fabulous! Take it away, Emilie!
This week’s project, I decided to refresh my old pair of jeans. The dies I’ve used are from the following: Monogram Alphabet, Inline Monogram Alphabet, Birthday Crown Additions, Layered Snowflake and
Floral Heart Details. The felt shades I’ve used are Tundra, Taffy, Rouge, Petal, Arugula, Peridot, and Pea Pod. I used fabric throughout my project using Terial Magic (liquid fabric stabilizer that turns fabric into a paper-like material for die cutting). I also utilized an 8” hoop to design the hexie flower layout.

I cut 11 hexagons from fabric treated with Terial Magic using the hexagon die in the Layered Snowflake: four red dot, four blue gingham with cherries, one cherry with dots and two red gingham patterns. I cut three flowers (Taffy, Rouge, Petal) and three leaves (Arugula, Peridot, Pea Pod) using the Floral Heart Details. Lastly, I cut an E and M from the Monogram Alphabet in Tundra. With the cherries with dots hexagon, I used the inline (holes only) star plate from the Birthday Crown Additions to cut stitching holes in the center. I layered the cherry dot fabric over the red dot fabric to create some interest.

For the left side of the pant leg, I used the Inline Monogram Alphabet to cut the stitching holes in 2 of the red dot fabric, E and M respectively. I then stitched the E and M on the hexagons with DMC #349 before I stitched the hexagons onto the jeans. It helps to adhere the hexagons with fabric glue before you stitch each piece. I stitched the perimeter of the hexie flower first and then layered the final hexagon in the center. For the red dot hexagons, I stitched with DMC #349, for the blue gingham DMC #813 and cherries with dots DMC #349.
For the right side, I free hand stitched the red gingham and blue gingham hexagon with DMC #816. For the flowers I used DMC #3865 and the leaves DMC #986.
This project would be great on a canvas tote bag, a denim jacket, t-shirts/sweatshirts, etc.
Such a cute idea, Emilie! My wheels are turning with all of the possibilities! Thank you so much for sharing your time and talent with us this month. We appreciate you!

Is there a way to contact this company? I have questions about one of the kits, and I tried the email under the contact us, and it was bounced. I have no idea how to reach out if the email doesn’t work. I did read the FAQ, and my question is not covered. This is the only place I can find where I can send any feedback. ALSO I truly adore the projects on this post :)
Super cute.
Love this! And what great fabrics you chose!❤️
What a great project! I love the cherry fabric and all the fun details.
Oh my goodness! These are too cute! Yep, I will definitely be running with this idea! The strawberry die will be too cute! Thank you for the inspiration!
