Poshta Presents - Easter Dining Room Decor!

Hello Poshta Friends! It's Thursday, and you know what that means... It's time for Poshta Presents! It's the start of a new month, and we are welcoming a new guest designer for the month of March, the talented Tracy Boyd!

Tracy has some fantastic projects to share with you this month, and she is kicking things off with some fabulous Easter themed dining room decor. Read on to see what Tracy has to share!Ā  Take it away, Tracy!

To start off this month’s projects I decided to make Easter themed items for my home. First up is a set of 4 linen napkins that I purchased online and embellished using several different Embroidered Egg Details dies.

For all 4 napkins I used theĀ Basic Egg die and Tundra felt (DMC #3865). Next, I usedĀ one of the Egg Details Dies and started stitching and accented with a variety of coordinating Poshta Design sequins and beads. I added a coordinating gingham bow, then stitched the Eggs directly onto the napkin using DMC #3865, Poshta's match for Tundra.

Here you can see a close of the napkin featuring the Embroidered Egg DetailsĀ die.Ā  I used floss colors: DMC# 743, 352, 3345, 818 and coordinating sequins and beads.Ā

Here you can see a closeup of the Embroidered Egg Details II napkin.Ā  I used floss colors: DMC# 3806, 368, 3836, 964 and coordinating beads and sequins.

Here you can see a closeup of Embroidered Egg Details III napkin. I used floss colors: DMC# 470, 776, 353, 730 and coordinating beads and sequins.Ā  The center is a woven rose stitch with sequins and beads to represent eggs.Ā

Here you can see a closeup for Embroidered Egg Details IV napkin. I used floss colors: DMC # 470, 964, 352 ,3806, 743 and coordinating beads and sequins.

I also created a coordinating table runner using a linen runner I purchased online.

For the left side of the runner, I used the Basic Egg Die along with Taffy (DMC#776), Daffodil (DMC#726) and Cheeky (DMC#3806) for the Eggs. For the ā€œgrassā€ I used different elements of the Hippity Hop Dies (the ears, inside ear, and the carrot top) to create different types of ā€œgrassā€. I did all the of stitching and embellishments before stitching them directly to the runner. Ā

I repeated the same process on the right side of the runner using Coral Reef (DMC#352), Daffodil (DMC#726) and Paloma (DMC#353).Ā

In the center of the runner I usedĀ the Mini Egg Basket Details Die, the carrots from the Hippity Hop Dies, and Happy Easter using the Banner Builder Alphabet Dies. For these elements I stitched them directly onto the runner.Ā

For the Mini Egg Basket Die I used Tundra (DMC#3865) for the basket, Shortbread (DMC#739) for the band on the basket, Conifer (DMC#986) for the grass, and using scraps for the mini eggs in Monarch (DMC#741), Daffodil (DMC#726), Taffy (DMC#776) and finished it off with a yellow ribbon from my stash.Ā

The carrots are from the Hippity Hop Dies using Geranium (DMC#351), Clementine (DMC#742), Monarch (DMC#741)Ā

The Happy Easter uses the Banner Builder Alphabet Dies using Poolside (DMC#964) again stitched directly onto the table runner.Ā

I will probably keep this table runner on my entryway table because I’m sure something will get spilled on it if it were on my kitchen table, and nobody wants all that hard work messed up with spilled marinara sauce!Ā Ā

I don't blame you a bit, Tracy!Ā  Protect that beautiful table runner (and the napkins) at all costs!Ā  What a special Easter ensemble.Ā  Thank you so much for sharing these with us today and thank you to all who stopped by for a visit!Ā  See you again next week for another project made by Tracy!

  • I really like your color combos…very pretty. I would never have thought of bunny ears as grass; I need to learn to stretch my supplies like that. Thank you for sharingā£
