Poshta Presents - Baby Milestone Onesies!

Hello Friends! How is it already May?! We are introducing a new guest today who will join us for the entire month, and it's none other than the talented Karen Spaiches!

Karen has a very special project to share with you today and I can't wait for you all to see! Without further ado, take it away Karen!!
For today’s project, I am delighted to showcase the Ray of Sunshine and Over The Moon die sets. When I was invited to create these projects, my heart was already full - my first grandson is expected any day now! With him in mind, I customized my color palette to mirror the soothing tones of his nursery. This project is versatile and can easily be adapted by switching up the colors to fit any baby’s theme.
My daughter-in-law asked me to create embroidered milestone hoops to capture monthly photos of their little one, and that sweet request inspired me to design these charming onesies using these delightful dies.
I combined the Ray of Sunshine and Over The Moon sets to create this special ensemble. The color story centers on Indigo, Seaspray, Ochre, Sprout, Ocean Marl, and Shortbread, complemented by matching floss colors and subtle additional touches.

The first onesie features the Ray of Sunshine die set. I cut the ray base twice in Ochre and the center once in Sunlight. Using the Monogram Numerials set, I cut the number one in Indigo. I stitched the sunshine base separately before attaching it to the onesie, embroidering the eyes and mouth with DMC threads for detail. The rays were embroidered with a bright stitch (DMC 3820) and the center with DMC 3823. I attached the whole sun element to the onesie using Ultra Hold Heat N Bond, perfect for temporary use during photo sessions without needing a base piece underneath. The number and the word “month” were also stitched directly onto the onesie for a clean and cohesive look, using DMC 823.

The second and third onesies were crafted similarly, with individual pieces stitched separately and then attached with Heat N Bond.
For the second onesie, I used the Over The Moon set, cutting two base circles in Ocean Marl and the face piece in Seaspray. I stitched the layers together for a delicate outline using DMC 823 and added a hanging star outlined subtly in DMC 3820 thread. Small star sequins from my stash added a touch of sparkle to bring the design to life.

The third onesie features two base circles in Seaspray from Over The Moon, with stars cut from Indigo, Ochre, and Sprout. I added a delicate stamped star and moon pattern in gold on the Seaspray piece, adding subtle texture and sparkle. Each star was stitched with coordinating floss and adorned with sequins and beads for an extra special shine.

Creating these pieces with the Ray of Sunshine and Over The Moon die sets has been an absolute joy. I hope my projects over the coming weeks inspire you to explore fun and creative ways to use Poshta dies, especially for celebrating life’s most precious moments.

So precious!❤️ What an exciting time for you and to make these adorable keepsakes…the memories they will hold.
Absolutely Adorable!!!!
WOW! I absolutely love this! Just so sweet and such an incredibly creative idea💙
So cute! A wonderful idea and keepsake! Beautiful job!
They are intended for milestone photos so I wasn’t worried about washing them however they could be spot cleaned if necessary. I hope that helps!
