Poshta Presents - A Cozy Fall Garland and more!

Hello Friends! I can't believe another week has passed and we are back again with another edition of Poshta Presents! Our friend Bonnie is back with more fall projects to share! We are kicking off today's post with a beautiful fall garland that features many of Poshta's fall favorites! Read on to see what Bonnie has to show off today!
I have wanted to create an Autumn garland for quite a while now. I started by die cutting my pumpkin bases from Glowing Ember, Spiced Amber and Smoked Paprika felt using just the base die from Harvest Pumpkin. Then I die cut the Autumn Floral Details I & Autumn Floral Details II into each pumpkin base. I then die cut all the details for the pumpkins from many colors of felt and stitched them to the pumpkin bases.

I added beads, sequins and also some Petal Parade sequins in the warm tones. I stitched my Autumn pumpkins together with a few layers of quilt batting between for a little dimension.

Once my pumpkins were finished, I created some additional items for the garland with the Falling Leaves I & Falling Leaves II dies and some of my fall colored felt (Arugula, Mango, Gingersnap, Barley, Burgundy, Furrow, Ochre, Red currant, Weathered Moss, Walnut, Shortbread) I also cut out three sunflowers with the Sunflower Season die with Sunflower, Parfait and Juniper Berry.

I hot glued the Pumpkins and Leaves to a burlap rope and strung some felt balls in coordinating colors on to the rope for additional interest. Now to find a place to hang my garland so that my cats don’t play with it.

While I still had my supplies out, I decided this small banner with mostly felt from the Autumn Leaves Color Story. I created the banner itself, by using the full width (5 inches) of the Glowing Embers felt roll and then traced a small salad plate to make the rounded bottom. I repeated this for the back of the banner.
The word “FALL” was cut from Red Currant felt using the Banner Builder Alphabet dies. The pumpkin was cut from Marmalade felt once with the Harvest Pumpkin base die and then die cut again with the Autumn Florals II die. The florals were cut from Mango, Coral Reef and Red Currant felt, the flower centers and pumpkin stem are Truffle felt, the leaves a grove felt.

And finally, I wanted to share with you all, my Autumn tree. I have had this birch light up tree in my entrance way for a few years now. This is where I hang all my seasonal felt decorations. My family and guest love this tree an all it’s wonderful felt ornaments.

My goodness, Bonnie! Your home is so beautifully decorated for the autumn season! The details in each project are stunning, and our decor is even more special because it was made by you! Thank you so much for sharing with us today, and thank you all for spending some of your time with us today. We hope you will come back next Thursday to see what else Bonnie has to share.
