Kicking Off Our Autumn 2026 Release With Cozy Favorites!

Good morning, friends! Welcome to the introductions for our Autumn 2026 Release (available on 8/15 at Noon EDT)! As always, I will be going live on Instagram tonight at 8pm EDT to answer your questions about today's introductions. We're going to be kicking things off today with a new Basic Die, several coordinating Details Dies, and a couple of dies for the book lover in your life. Let's jump in!

Audrey is back with her signature bright and cheerful style. I always love seeing Audrey's take on the new products each release. She has such a way with color and truly bringing everything to life. Make sure to visit her Instagram all this week to see what she has up her sleeve!

 

I love how much Chari loves Autumn. Her genuine affection for the season and the holidays therein give each project such style. Her incredible sewing skills mean there are often extra surprises to enjoy and this release is no exception. Follow along on her blog this week to see all of her gorgeous work!

 

Renee is so warm and generous you can feel it straight through a computer screen. She has a knack for making home decor and keepsake art pieces that can be enjoyed year after year. I marvel at her creativity and ability to pull together bits and bobs to make something truly unique and special. Check in on her all week over on her Instagram!

I have gotten sneak peeks of what these ladies have created for you and I can say, without reservation, that you are in for a treat!

Now let's get into the introductions! Let's kick things off with three of the new Color Stories for this release. First up, we have Bonfire.

There is nothing cozier than a blazing bonfire on a chilly autumn evening. The great outdoors, crisp air, and radiant heat work together to create a feeling of snug security characterized by this warm palette. The Bonfire Color Story includes Morel, Shagbark, Cactus, Spiced Amber, and Smoked Paprika felt.

Spiced Amber is a new color of felt for us this release.

It's more yellow and brighter than Squash (the most similar color), but it still has a lovely, autumnal richness.

Here you can see it with Squash and Clementine (Spiced Amber is in the center).

Next, we have Book Nook.

The rich colors of classic novels on lofty library shelves add sophisticated style to the Book Nook Color Story. Exquisitely bound tomes with gilded pages and skillfully illustrated covers inspired this noble Color Story. This palette includes Blue Ribbon, Red Currant, Evening Iris, Chai, and Weathered Moss felt. 

Book Nook includes the new Evening Iris felt.

This is a lovely dusty, cool purple. This one has quickly become Sean's new favorite purple.

Here you can see it with Majesty and Thistle (Evening Iris is in the middle).

And third today, we have Patchwork.

Wrapping up in a well-worn, heirloom quilt is the best feeling on a chilly day. The colors in this palette elicit thoughts of quilted calico, a large steaming cuppa, and a beloved book on a brisk, rainy afternoon. This Color Story includes Twilight, Juniper Berry, Mulberry, Precious, and Grove felt.

We have two new colors in this Color Story. Juniper Berry is the first one.

It's very nice greenish-blue with a fair bit of gray. It's much darker and a bit bluer than Agave, so it fills a nice hole.

The second new color in Patchwork is Twilight.

This brilliant blue-green has a heathered finish. It is similar in color to Lagoon, but it's a bit brighter.

We are also sharing a couple of new collections today. First up is the Basic Square Die (retails for $30).

Everyone can use a handful of versatile shapes in their die collection and this simple square shape can't be beat! This die includes three sizes of squares to suit a wide variety of creative projects. Use these squares alone or pair them with one of the coordinating dies to make something truly unique and special!

Next up, we have the Scalloped Square Details Die (retails for $20).

These scalloped squares are designed to coordinate with the Basic Squares Die. Use these dies to create a softer, curved edge for all of your square projects.

Please note: This die coordinates with the Basic Squares Die. This die does not cut the straight-edge square shape, just the scalloped details.

Next we have the Quilting Bee Collection! First up is the Quilting Bee: Eight Pointed Star Details Die (retails for $22).

The Quilting Bee: Eight-Pointed Star coordinates with the Basic Square Die to create projects with homespun flair. The classic star design includes a base star and parallelograms that can be pieced with patterned fabric or paper.

Next we have the Quilting Bee: Ohio Star Details Die (retails for $25).

The Quilting Bee: Ohio Star coordinates with the Basic Square Die to create projects with homespun flair. The classic design includes a base star, two central square options, and small triangles.

And next, we have the Quilting Bee: Pinwheel Details Die (retails for $22).

The Quilting Bee: Pinwheel coordinates with the Basic Square Die to create projects with homespun flair. The classic pinwheel design includes two sizes of triangles arranged in a pinwheel design.

We're also introducing the Book Club Die (retails for $50).

This charming stack of books is perfect for creating projects for your favorite bookworm or even your home library! These four books are decorated with teardrop eyelets, stitched binding, and layered details that make each tome unique. You can even switch out the color palette to create seasonal stacks of books perfect for Christmas, Halloween, and beyond!

And, finally, we have the Eager Reader Die (retails for $38).

Every book lover is sure to fall head over heels for this handy bookmark die. The die includes two details dies that you can use to decorate your bookmarks. Use patterned fabric or paper to add interest and create a slim profile. The Eager Reader Die makes creating bookmarks so easy and fun, you’ll have a bookmark for every book in your library before you know it!

I've also been enjoying working with these dies and I can't wait to share what I made to show you today!

Let's start with these coin purses I made by pairing the Patchwork Color Story with some of the Quilting Bee Collection.

I started by cutting two coin purses from a sheet of Overcast felt. I used the Ohio Star and Eight Pointed Star Details Dies to cut the patterns into the purses.

I sewed a couple of zippers (this is my favorite place to buy zippers) into the center channel of the purses before sewing on the quilt elements.

Next up, let's take a peek at the Eager Reader Die. I love that I can now make bookmarks to really match the personality of the person I'm giving the gift. There are two pre-made designs in the die, but the bookmark can also be customized with a person's name or initials.

I chose to create these two bookmarks with patterned fabric that I treated with Terial Magic. The Terial Magic made it completely effortless to cut the fabrics.

On this one, I used the embroidered "Booklover" design, repeating the fabric on the embroidered side with the little heart die cut. I used Cheeky for the bookmark itself.

On this second one, I pulled colors from the fabric to decorate the opposite side. I used the "READ" design cut from Coral Reef and Tundra Felt and stitched those to a Juniper Berry base.

I also created embroidery thread tassels for each of the bookmarks, tucking the string in between the base layers as I sewed up the perimeter.

I created a set of book stack ornaments using the new Book Club Die. I made one with the new Book Nook Color Story. I used gold glitter spray paint on the Chai layer (after cutting it) to give each book a hint of sparkle.

I also incorporated bits of gold using the DMC #E677 that we are now stocking in the store. I like this gold thread because it's not a bright yellow gold. It's more of a champagne-toned gold.

The layers of books offer lots of opportunities to add different stitches and embellishments. I used quilt batting (instead of fluff) to add a bit of body while keeping these ornaments relatively flat.

I wanted to give this second ornament a Christmas vibe, so I used Crabapple, Wintergreen, Pine Forest, Satin Slipper, and Tundra felt.I also tried using some alternative stitches to add interest. I used small "Xs" on the spine of the top book and larger "Xs" on the binding of a couple of the other volumes.

On the back I added the "Be Merry" greeting from Cocoa Messages. I love how these turned out and I can't wait to make more of these for the book lovers in our family this holiday season!
