It's Election Day!

Happy Election Day, everyone! I just wanted to pop in today quickly to share a garland I created for the occasion. 

I used the Statement Alphabet letters cut from Seaspray to spell out "VOTE."

 
Then I cut a Basic Heart from Tundra and dressed it up with the Stars & Stripes Heart Details Die using Cardinal and Indigo felt. I also embellished the stripes with a few beads and sequins sprinkled here and there.

I just used a few spots of strategically placed hot glue to add the heart to the "O" and strung the letters onto white crochet thread. 

It's a simple decoration, but it will last for years so I will always be able to pull it out around Election Day.

I will be back later this week with another project to share with you, but in the meantime, get out there and vote today (if you haven't already), everyone! The polls are open in Ohio until 7:30pm.
