I just love how Caly has brought these sweet bears to life with rouged cheeks. It's such a small detail, but it really adds such character. Make sure to visit Caly HERE to see even more of her incredible projects!

These strawberries from Heather look good enough to eat! And they're all so unique and adorable in their own way. Don't miss the rest of her projects HERE!
I have been so excited to share these with you, so let's get to it!
First up, I have a couple of cutie patootie bears to share. When I was designing this die, I had teddy bears in mind, but once I got my hands on it I started thinking of all of the other things I could do with this die...like create a Christmas polar bear, for example!

I started this bear by cutting all of the body parts from Tundra felt, aside from a few Overcast, Soapstone, and Inkwell accents. Then I cut a Soft Jade scarf (this is the widest scarf) and a Cardinal and Soft Jade hat from the Homespun Holiday: Snowy Friends Kit. I cannot even begin to explain how tickled I am that these worked together. I also cut some Conifer holly leaves from the same die to zhuzh up the bear's hat.

I added safety eyes before I stitched everything together. I sewed the scarf to the polar bear before sewing up his perimeter and then I stitched the hat on after his head had been sewn together.

I stitched up his feet separately and hot glued those on after he was sewed and stuffed. Can you stitch them on (like the Hippity Hop bunny)? Sure, but glue also works just fine.
My second bear is cut primarily from Shagbark felt. I also have some Truffle and Satin Slipper in there to accent his nose, ears, and feet.

I wanted this one to feel like a teddy bear I remember from my childhood that was a darker gray-brown with dark accents and I think I came pretty close!

I added safety eyes and a Cheeky heart to his chest before sewing and stuffing him. He's so cute!

I also added the optional tails to their bums. I ultimately decided to make these bears ornaments, but at nearly 5" tall, they're a great size for little pocket size stuffies. I know plenty of kiddos who would love to have a little bear to carry around in a tote bag or backpack. I also think this bear would make darling nursery decor if you wanted to sew it in an embroidery hoop frame with a baby's name or initials.
Next up, I have a set of accessories made with the Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Details Die. I have a brooch and two hair barrettes made with the new Posh Barrette Dies.

I started with the brooch. I cut the berry from Cardinal, the hull from Conifer, the leaf from Arugula, the seed insert from Gecko, and the flower from Tundra. The chocolate layer is cut from Truffle and the drizzle is cut from Walnut. I dressed up the chocolate with some beads and sequins to give it some sparkle.

I added the bar pin to the back strawberry by snipping little slits in the berry and then stitching in simple straight stitches around the bar. I like adding my bar pins top to bottom instead of side to side because this way the brooch doesn't droop.

I also created a pair of strawberry barrettes. I used the Sweet Tooth Color Story on these.

I sewed the berries separately from the barrettes and glued them together. It's a shortcut, but they're plenty secure and I'm not mad about it.

Here you can see the slot that the metal clip comes through. You sew the clip directly into the barrette cover so it's permanently covered. You just running stitch around the perimeter to secure it.
Speaking of the Posh Barrettes, I have two whole sets to share with you! I designed this die after receiving a set of playful shaped hair barrettes for Tilly last year. They were so cute, but the way they were oriented (due to the hinge and opening) they always looked upside down in her hair. So now I have the option to create my own seasonal barrettes that will face the gosh darned correct direction. I bought a large package of the metal clips online, so I will have plenty of them to make more barrettes for other seasons and holidays. Let's start with the rectangle set.

I used the Country Rose Color Story for these. The die set includes a scalloped layer that you can use or omit as you choose. The blooming heart and row of hearts are both details dies included in the set. I also found it fun to freehand an option with the heart dies on their own.

You can see the back of a couple of the barrette backs here too. The only trick to the rectangles is making sure you're orienting the front of the cover to be going the direction you want when it's being worn. For me that means making sure the hinge is at the bottom of the design (I hope that makes sense).
I also did a set of these barrettes using the Droplet Die and the Sweet Tooth Color Story.

This set includes floral elements (rather than the heart elements in the Rectangle set). I did manage to sneak a heart one in here too though.

These colors are so playful and fun. Tilly has been waiting very patiently for these barrettes, but I know she's been itching to wear them to school.

Can’t remember mine, but my 2 kids had white jointed bears that my grandma made for them.
Mine was Matilda, a stuffed mouse. I made her a little home out of a box and decorated it. I even made up a little song about her. What an adorable release!
Oh I had a monkey with a yellow shirt, white shoes and he held a banana that you could feed him. His name was Jocko and he went everywhere with me! Can’t wait to make barrettes for my granddaughters
I had a stuffed dog I named freckles, I remember he was my favorite, love the Christmas polar bear
Not sure anyone would consider mine a stuffie – it was one of those mechanical flip dogs – named Bobby – and I think I loved on it until all the fur fell off 🤣
