Introducing This Year's Packaging Collection

Good morning, everyone! Thank you so much for all of your wonderful feedback about everything we have shared over the past couple of days. We're excited too! All of the new products will be available on Saturday (10/5) at Noon EDT.

I also wanted to remind you that I am going live on Instagram at 8pm today to answer any questions you might have about toady's introductions.

First up today, we have the Pocket Tag II Die (retails for $24). This super versatile tag is a follow up to our original Pocket Tag Die and it includes several of the same features. You have an optional edge trim for the pocket, a stitched greeting, a hole reinforcer that is perfect for a pop of color, and a stitching guide to show you all of the possibilities.

The Pocket Tag II Die is flexible and fabulous! Create something simple and flat or incorporate a pocket complete with pinked trim for the perfect gift card accessory. You can even embroider a message with the included greeting die. Ideal for use with both cardstock and felt, these tags are sure to be a hit any time of year!

Next we have the first of two bow dies. I couldn't decide which size I liked best, so we did both! The Petite Gift Bow Die (retails for $13) is the smaller version.

The Petite Gift Bow is proof that sometimes wonderful things come in small packages! This mini bow can be used to create everything from fashion accessories to gift wrap and decor. Use this die with felt or cardstock for even more versatility and function. You’ll be putting little bows on everything before you know it!

And, finally, we have our big bow. The Grand Gift Bow (retails for $44) is about double the size of the Petite Gift Bow.

Sometimes only a great, big bow will do the trick. The Grand Gift Bow Die is perfect for creating generously sized bows for all of your decor and gift giving needs. Ideal for holidays, birthdays, weddings and more!

Now it's my turn to share! I am so excited to show you what I've been up to lately. These dies have been such a joy to use!

Let's start with the Pocket Tag II Die. I wanted to create a set of tags that I can use this holiday season and beyond.

I used the Jubilee Color Story to create these tags. I chose to use the pockets with the trim on all three, but each one is decorated a little bit differently.

This first one uses the embroidered "Enjoy" included with the tag. This die is intended to be oriented vertically on the pocket for a unique, modern twist. I used Pistachio for the tag, Smooch for the pocket, Calypso for the pocket trim, and Majesty for the hole enforcer.

The next tag uses the embroidered "For You" from the original Pocket Tag Die. I love that the two greetings can be used interchangeably for added versatility. I used Majesty for the tag, Calypso for the pocket, Marigold for the pocket trim, and smooch for the hole enforcer.

I used a Monogram Alphabet initial to personalize this tag for my niece. I've learned that there are few things kids love more than seeing their initials on things. I used Smooch for the tag, Marigold for the pocket, Majesty for the pocket trim, and Calypso for the hole enforcer and monogram.

These next two tags incorporate the Petite Gift Bow Die onto the pocket of the tags.

I used the Rich Tradition Color Story on these two. I love how dramatic the bows are on these tags.

I sewed the bow directly to the pockets. This first one used Petal for the tag, Red Currant for the pocket, and Pine Forest for the hole enforcer. The bow is Tundra and Petal. A little sparkle finished this off nicely.

I used Agave for the tag, Pine Forest for the pocket, and Red Currant for the hole enforcer. This time I went with Tundra and Agave for the bow. And, again, a sprinkling of sequins adds some sparkle.

From the moment Tilly saw the Petite Gift Bow Die, she asked me to make her some hair accessories. And she was champing at the bit watching me sew them. She can't wait to wear them to school!

I made three bows for her. I made one bow from Vintage Glass Dot and Cascade felt, one bow from Amethyst and Majesty felt, and one from Satin Slipper and Cheeky felt.

I kept things fairly simple on these bows since they will be worn by a handsy 4-year-old.

I simply covered metal alligator hair clips with polka dotted grosgrain ribbon and then hot glued a bow to each clip. You could get a similar effect on head bands too!

The Grand Gift Bow is ideal for gift packaging and decor. I'll be showing a gift packaging idea today, but I will have a decor option to share tomorrow. One quick side note about these that I don't want to forget to mention: I used floral wire inside the tails and the bow "loops" to make them shapeable. It's not totally necessary, but it does allow you to give them some dimension. I just created "V" shapes of paper covered floral wire and tucked them inside before I sewed my bows together.



I love gift wrapping almost as much as gift giving and I am always looking for ways to make my wrapping more sustainable and reusable. These bows are sewn to alligator clips so they can be clipped to ribbons on your packages to amp up the fancy factor.



They can be reused year after year if they are stored nicely in between uses. I keep a box full of handmade bows and salvaged ribbons that I can use on my gift packages. And the best part? I can customize these bows by making colors that coordinate with the wraps I already own!

Could you also clip these bows to the branches of a Christmas tree? Absolutely! I will most certainly be making more of these bows for my gift wrap this year.
