Introducing The Team

Good morning and welcome back for another day of announcements! Today I have the pleasure of introducing the team that will be showcasing the Homespun Holidays: Keepsake Ornaments Kit. Some of these faces are longtime friends that I treasure and others are new friends that I am lucky to get to know better. I hope you'll all join me in giving them a warm welcome!

First up, we have Candice Hunter. I first learned of Candice on Instagram when she partnered with Jennifer McGuire during the Pass The Brush event. I was instantly drawn to her bright smile, wonderful spirit, and enthusiasm for all things artistic. Her vibrance brought an immediate smile to my face and I am confident she will do the same for you. She thinks outside the box, coming up with a fresh approach that I would have never thought to take myself. I love that so much and I can't wait for you to see her work!

Next, we have my very dear friend Dawn McVey. I have known and worked with Dawn for years and I love her to bits and itty bitty pieces. Her kindness lights up every room she enters and you will be hard pressed to find anyone more willing to share her joy. I am always inspired by her embrace of bright, bold color. She loves the entire rainbow and she's not shy about it! That jubilant quality makes her creations an absolute feast for the eyes. You're sure to love what Dawn has in store for you!

Heather Nichols is the next lady on our list. I was a fan of Heather's long before we ever worked together. Her work has always given me a warm, handmade-with-care feeling. It's as if she is reaching out to say "I made this with my own two hands just for you because you're important to me." She is genuine and generous with her time in a way that makes everyone around her feel loved and valued. Her earthy, rustic style never fails to put a smile on my face and I am confident that you will love everything she has to share with you in the coming days.

And last (but only alphabetically) we have Kay Miller. Kay and I worked together a few years ago and I have been an enormous fan of hers ever since. Her attention to detail, be it clean and consistent stitches or embellishments placed just so, gives each project she creates the air of effortless perfection. It takes incredible skill to make everything look that easy! I was so thrilled when Kay agreed to work with my debut kit. I just knew she was going to knock my socks off and I promise you that she has delivered! Stay tuned!

Thank you for stopping by today to give these ladies a warm welcome. And as a treat, here's a little sneak peek of what's to come. Have a great day and I'll see you back here tomorrow!

  • This is just what I needed to see today. Isn’t being creative a part of the soul? I’m so glad you are being brave and stepping out with these kits. I jump back and forth between stamping/paper crafts and sewing…your kit looks like a lovely bit of middle ground to plant myself when neither stamping nor sewing sound doable. Best of luck!!
