Introducing the Summer Sweetness Collection

Good morning! Welcome back for the last day of introductions for our Summer 2024 release! I want to remind you that I will be going live on Instagram this evening at 8pm EDT to answer any questions you have about today's new products. Now let's get to the introductions!

We have a trio of sweet dies to introduce today. The first is the Sweet Treats: Popsicle Die (retails for $38).

When summer temperatures are on the rise, nothing helps you beat the heat like frozen treats! Our Sweet Treats: Popsicle Die includes a variety of options to create refreshing popsicles in an array of delightful flavors. Cut these popsicles from felt, fabric, or patterned paper for use on all of your summer projects!

Next up is the Sweet Treats: Ice Cream Cone Die (retails for $16).

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! The Sweet Treats: Ice Cream Cone Die gives you the freedom to create your perfect scoop time and time again. Dress up your cone with bugle bead sprinkles for sparkle or a cute little cherry on top as the perfect finishing touch.

And last, but certainly not least, we have the Summer Strawberry Die (retails for $32).

One of the most delectable gifts of summer is a juicy basket of strawberries still warm from the sun. Our Summer Strawberry die includes two sizes of berry as well as leaves and flowers to zhush them up when the mood arises. Use these berries for adding a touch of sweetness to your home decor or other homespun projects.

Now that I've made the introductions, let's see what our Guest Creators have to share!

I hope you'll pop over to their instagram accounts and give them some love for all of the wonderful projects they have shared this week!

I had a wonderful time using these dies, too. Let's take a closer look!

My first project is a headband I made for Tilly. She loves ice cream so, so much, but she can't eat most of it. This is a nice, tummy-friendly option for our girl.

I used Barley for the cone and Satin Slipper for the scoop. The cone has a waffle pattern that you stitch to get this great texture. I used a lighter thread so it would contrast a little.

I also opted to use the sauce layer in Walnut. I added some bugle beads to add some sprinkles and popped a cherry on top using a bead and sequin to anchor it. I used hot glue to attach the whole thing to a headband. I sometimes stitch small items directly to headbands, but the hot glue was the best option this time. Tilly loves it!

My next two projects are both decorative pillows I made to jazz up our living room this summer. I'm also using these to do a little experiment. I'll explain that in a moment.

Here is my popsicle pillow. I used an array of bright and cheerful colors on these pops. Cheeky, Smooch, Monarch, Clementine, Cascade, Gecko, Peridot, Amethyst, Pixie, Tundra and Chai look great together on this aqua pillow cover.

I sewed all of the popsicles completely before hot gluing them to the pillow cover. I used as thin a bead as possible to make sure none of the areas got too goopy and stiff when the glue cooled.

Once the glue had cooled, I embellished some of the popsicles with sequins and beads to add sparkle and texture. I want to see how the hot glue holds up compared to the next pillow.

This pillow features the Summer Strawberry Die.

I used Cardinal and Ripe Raspberry for the berries with Chantilly for the seeds. The tops are Arugula. The leaves are Pine Forest. The flowers are Tundra.

This time, I sewed the berries directly onto the pillow. It's a little tricky because you're sewing blind half the time, but I like knowing the appliqués are secure.

I also added a sprinkling of sequins to add some sparkle. I think this pillow may honestly be one of my favorite things I've ever made. I really, really love it.

Thank you so much for joining me on this lovely Friday. I will be back to announce our giveaway winners tomorrow, so I hope to see you then!
