Introducing The Homespun Holiday: Cozy Cocoa Kit

Today is the big reveal, friends!

The Homespun Holiday: Cozy Cocoa Kit retails for $150 and will be available for sale tomorrow, October 1st, at 10am Eastern Time.

This year's stitching kit features both two and three-dimensional cocoa mugs to keep you creating sweetness all season long! Decorate your mugs with seasonal delights like peppermints and holly, fluffy whipped cream and bugle bead sprinkles. Your decor is about to look good enough to sip!

From 100% wool felt to a carefully curated collection of beads and sequins, everything you need to make beautiful ornaments arrives right to your door in one convenient package. The hardest part is choosing your favorite Color Story!

Also releasing tomorrow is the Cocoa Messages Die. Retailing for $24, this set of message dies includes six seasonal greetings to decorate your cocoa mugs.

You can also look forward to the Keepsake Dates (2021-2025) Die! This die gives you the option to mark the year on your felt creations. And with a range of five years, you're all set for several years to come! This die retails for $10.

And the last new product I have to introduce you have probably noticed lurking in the background of several of my photos. The Linked Garland Die also debuts on Friday, retailing for $38. I am particularly excited about this one. Not only do I love a garland, but this die makes creating so fun and efficient at the same time!

The die cuts seven strips at once and every seven rings equals about 14" in length. That means a five-color arrangement creates about 7 feet of garland with just one cut of each color! The holes are cut for you on both ends, making it truly effortless! Use the Color Stories to create a garland that perfectly coordinates with your ornaments or create a custom color mix using any of our felt rolls. The charming garlands look wonderful all year round, too! Use them to celebrate birthdays or simply to spruce up a room!

As I mentioned the other day, I have some very talented friends helping with today's introductions. Let's take a closer look at what they have to share!

Dawn worked with the Homespun Holiday: Cozy Cocoa Kit, the Cocoa Messages Die, and the Linked Garland. She chose the Retro Rainbow Color Story and her set of cheerful cocoa mug ornaments couldn't be sweeter. See her projects on her blog HERE.

Heather chose the Candy Cane Color Story for her personalized tags and ornament. She worked with the Cozy Cocoa Kit and the Monogram Alphabet Die that I mentioned yesterday. See more of her projects HERE.

Shara worked with the Modern Holiday Color Story, but she also thought outside the box to bring you some spooky inspiration just in time for Halloween. She used the Cozy Cocoa Kit, both Inline and Monogram Alphabets, and the Linked Garland Die. You won't believe all the details! Check out her projects on her Instagram HERE.

There is so much information to share that I don't want to overwhelm everyone, so I'm splitting up my projects over today and tomorrow. So make sure to check back for even more inspiration! In the meantime, how about a peek at the Nordic Chic Color Story in action.

This time of year is my favorite. I love the crispness of the air and wearing chunky knits. So the Nordic Chic Color Story speaks to my cool weather heart.

I incorporated a few of the standalone dies into these ornaments, so I'll try and be really clear about what is and is not included in the kit. Starting here with the snowflake mug, everything on this ornament is part of the Cozy Cocoa kit. I love this snowflake design! It can look a little intimidating when all the holes are punched out, so I made sure to include a full-size stitching diagram in the Inspiration Guide that comes with the kit.

Next up, I have a gift card pocket ornament. All of the design elements on the front of the mug are from the kit. I lined the inside of the pocket with plain mug die cuts to conceal any stitching from the band and the design on the back. The result is a nice, smooth pocket. I also doubled up the holly leaves to give them a little more depth.

On the back of this gift card pocket, I used the "Holly Jolly" greeting from the Cocoa Messages Die. An important note: If you're adding wording onto the back of your project it must mirror the front of your project. This means you're going to need to flip your die cut to the "wrong" side to die cut your message (ie: if your handle is on the left for your front, you need it to be on the right when you die cut your message on the back). Otherwise, your message will read backward. Ask me how I know. Learn from my experiencePlease.

Next up, I have a 3D mug that I decorated with the wreath design included in the kit. I also used the Inline Monogram Alphabet Die to spell out "JOY."

I used a "lazy daisy" stitch on the wreath branches. Typically, I use three strands of floss, but on this mug I used six strands for the branches and three for the stem. The extra strands of floss make the branches nice and fluffy.

I also used clear beads to add berries for a hint of sparkle. It's so pretty and sophisticated and I love the unexpected pop of blue for the wreath.

My last project today is a monogram mug with a window/frame detail. I used the Keepsake Ornaments Extras Die to create the window. The monogram was added using the Inline and Monogram Alphabet Dies. I can't get over how much fun beading those scallops is! It adds so much sparkle when the light catches the beads. The bugle bead sprinkles also really amp up the sparkle factor.

Like I said, I have so much more to show you, but I'm going to save a some of the fun for tomorrow. That way, we can stretch out the party a little longer. The kit goes live at 10am, so you'll have an hour to peruse more examples before the kit is available (or just pop over to the blog after you checkout if you're afraid you'll miss it).

In the meantime, it wouldn't be a grand debut without a giveaway! Leave a comment on this blog post and the introductory kit posts (today's posts, 9/30) of each of the designers listed above letting us know what you think of the new lineup before 7am on October 1st and I will randomly select one winner to receive a free kit! Leave a comment for each designer listed above (and here) and you have four chances to win. The winner will be announced on tomorrow morning's post shortly before the release at 10am, right before the kits are available for sale! The winner has 30 days to contact Customer Service and claim their kit. Good luck!
