Introducing the Heart Details Collection

Good morning, friends! Today and tomorrow I'll be sharing the Heart Details Collection (everything will release Saturday, 12/31 at Noon EST). Things were a bit of a tight squeeze here at the end of the year, so I unfortunately won't have any Guest Creators joining me this release, but I hope to have plenty of inspiration to get you excited.

The Heart Details Collection includes five different dies and today I'm introducing two of them officially (and sneaking a peek at one). Let's get started!

This card features the Basic Heart Die (retails for $17) and the Conversation Hearts Messages Die (retails for $12). There's also a bit of the Floral Heart Details Die, but you'll hear more about that tomorrow.

I started by using the "Hugs" greeting from the Conversation Hearts Messages to embroider the sentiment onto a piece of Petal Dot felt. I tucked that panel behind a panel that I die cut using the large heart from the Basic Heart Die. There are two sizes of hearts included in the Basic Heart Die set.

I embellished the heart with flowers cut from Rich Plum and Tundra and Pea Pod leaves. I also added a handful of pale yellow sequins from the Flirt Color Story.

I love the texture I can achieve by pairing felt with cardstock. Plus, it feels good to make a card again, so that's a bonus. I used a combo of foam tape and hot glue to put this together. So easy!

My next project today shows both heart sizes side-by-side. And you can see all five of the different greetings in the Conversation Hearts Messages.

I figured since the Flirt Color Story was inspired by conversation hearts in the first place, it made sense to use those colors to create a garland for Valentine's Day!

I didn't use any beads or sequins to keep things nice and simple, but you could easily use embellishments to add some sparkle.

Typically, I use three strands of thread when I stitch, but I used six threads on these greetings to really make them pop. I did stick with my preferred three strands around the outer edges though.

I apologize for the backlighting. It's so hard to get great photos of garlands, but it just looks so cute on this window! I strung together all of the hearts on white crochet thread. It's super charming when they twirl around on the string!

I usually get a little sad when it's time to take down all of the Christmas decor, but this year I have Valentine's Day decorations to look forward to and I'm so excited. This is a great way to brighten up those gray winter days!

I can't wait to share even more with you tomorrow! I hope you'll make sure to check back to see the rest of the release!
