Introducing The Beach Bum Collection!

Good morning, everyone! Welcome back to day three of our Summer 2026 release introductions! We're having a wonderful time introducing our May release (available on Saturday, 5/16 at Noon EDT) and we have even more to share today. But first, I want to remind you that I will be going live on Instagram this evening at 8pm EDT to answer any questions you might have about today's introductions. Now let's get started!

We have a collection of beachy summertime dies to share with you today. We're calling it the Beach Bum Collection! There's a tote bag, beach ball, and more!

First up we have the Beach Ball Die (retails for $24).

Fun in the sun calls for a beach ball and this one is ready to party! This ball includes layers for three stripes that you can use with brightly colored felt, unique fabric, or even patterned paper!

Next up we have the Protect Your Specs Die (retails for $50).

Keep your glasses and sunglasses safe in style with the Protect Your Specs Die. This die creates a sleeve generous enough for most glasses along with two decorative pattern options (one embroidered and one layered). Use 15mm neodymium magnets or snaps (not included) to close the sleeve and keep your glasses secure.

On a related note, we will also be selling 15mm x 3mm neodymium magnets.

These magnets come in handy for not only the Protect Your Specs projects, but also Scissor Keeper projects and decorative refrigerator magnets, too! Each pack of 10 magnets will retail for $12.

Our next die of the day is the Sunny Sandcastle (retails for $50).

No beach trip would be complete without a well-built sandcastle. Sitting in the sand and creating with your favorite people is a wonderful way to make memories that last. The Sunny Sandcastle Die includes everything you need to create a multi-dimensional sandcastle - complete with seashells, starfish, and flags to embellish your castles to your heart’s content. And these sandcastles will last just as long as your happy memories!

And, finally, we have the Travel Tote Die (retails for$27).

Do you take your projects on the go? This mini Travel Tote is a great way to make art imitate life! Add other small elements from your collection to dress up these totes and personalize them for the people you love - they are the perfect size for packaging a gift card or other small present!

Ok! Now that I've made the basic introductions, let's check in with the team to see what these talented ladies have up their sleeves!

I love that Audrey turned her Sunny Sandcastle into a plant pick! That is going to take a bouquet from simple to spectacular! Head over to her Instagram to see more!

Kelly's whole beach ensemble has us ready to hit the waves! I love how she used her dies to add pizzaz to pre-made zipper bags. What a great idea for adding style to functional pieces! See more HERE!

I literally gasped when I first saw Mary's incredible "Beach" garland! She added so much personality and detail all the way through. That baby seagull stole my heart! See more of her project HERE!

Please make sure you visit with these creative and talented ladies to thank them for all of their inspiration this week. I have truly enjoyed seeing each and every one of their projects!

I have a few things to share with you, myself. I really enjoyed playing with these new dies! Let's start with my Sunny Sandcastle.

I thought the Toasted Oat would make a perfect sandcastle, so I used that for my base. The window and door openings were filled with Cocoa.

After assembling the base, I added the shells and starfish along with some beads and sequins. Instead of gluing the embellishments to the sandcastle, I used a single thread of embroidery floss to attach each element. There aren't stitching holes in these small elements so you have flexibility regarding how you attach them.

For the little flags, I cut a toothpick in half to create little poles and poked the pointed end into the turrets. You could also use Floral Wire or actual tiny sticks if you had a source for something thin and straight enough. I really love this! You could even use more traditional "stone" colors to create a fairy tale castle (minus the shells).

Next up, I have a little gift set made using the Pool Party Color Story.

I think this would be a great gift idea for someone going off to college or as a surprise before an unexpected vacation.

The Travel Totes would be perfect for giving a gift card and the Protect Your Specs sleeve is just right for glasses or even a few special pens. I used the embroidery design on this glasses case, alternating between rainbow colors and white. I really love it!

I used a snap to close this case. The snap option makes it easier to put your closure closer to the end of the flap (which can help make a roomier case). My sunnies are a bit oversized, so the added space is much appreciated. I cut a second panel (in Daffodil) to act as a liner and seal in all of those ends and knots.

I decorated these totes with elements from other dies. The star on the monogrammed tote is from the Sunny Sandcastle while the flower on the Spearmint tote is from the Lemon Zest Die. Not only are the totes endlessly customizable, they are the perfect size for a gift card!

I also used an extra side panel piece on these to make sure that all of the knots were sealed in and the inside was smooth. To make a pocket like this (whether you use lining panels or not), simply sew along your top edge first while the two sides are separate. Then, stitch the front and back together around the other three edges. Easy!

My last ensemble is also a gift set, but this time my little Travel Tote is a tiny gift bag.

I used the chevron detail in the Protect Your Specs die to create this pattern on the back of my glasses case. It cuts two chevron stripes, so I just cut it a few times to add more stripes. I also chose to use the Accessory Alphabet on my Travel Tote to add initials. I don't know if you could quite squeeze three letters in that gap between the handles, but two works great!

I went with magnets to close this sleeve. Sean's glasses are a little more streamlined than mine, so the magnets are perfect!

This monogrammed beach ball bookmark was so fun and quick to create! I just sewed a length of ribbon between two beach balls. The trick is just to make sure that the ribbon is long enough that both of your ends will clear the book so it's easy to close. On the opposite end, I sewed together two stars from the Sweet Treats: Layer Cake Die. I think a little gift like this with a brand new book would be a perfect surprise for someone right before a trip to the shore.

Thank you so much for joining me all this week! Remember: I will be going live on Instagram this evening at 8pm EDT to answer any questions you have about today's new products.
