Introducing Some New Birthday Favorites!

Hello, everyone! Welcome back to the final day of introductions for our Summer 2025 release! I want to thank you all for following along with our posts this week. We genuinely appreciate your support and enthusiasm.

We have two new dies to share with you today. The first is the Paisley Coverall Die (retails for $24).

The Paisley Coverall Die cuts a paisley background sized for an A2 card front (the die doesn't have an outer cutting edge though, so you have some flexibility if you would like to try other card sizes or techniques). This classic pattern adds texture and interest to your cards, making even the simplest creation feel spectacular!

We also have a much requested follow-up to the Birthday Crown, Birthday Crown Additions (retails for $32 - coordinates with the Birthday Crown die which is available separately for $32).

This Birthday Crown Additions Die includes balloons, cupcakes, and bunting to add even more celebratory panache to your Birthday Crowns. You can even use the single balloon and small cupcake to create a Prize Winner pin to coordinate!

Please Note: This die coordinates with the Birthday Crown Die. It does not cut the crown panels or the medallion circle, just the balloons, bunting, and cupcakes.

Now that I've made the basic introductions, let's see what Miriam has up her sleeve! Please make sure to visit Miriam and thank her for all of her inspiration and hard work this week. She has been amazing!

I love the sweet pastel tones with pops of metallic accents that Miriam has used on her crown! It's so soft and sophisticated! See more details of Miriam's project HERE!

Now it's my turn to share! I decided to make a whole coordinating ensemble - birthday crown, ribbon, and card.

I used the Tropical Twist Color Story to create this set.

I created the card by sponging teal ink onto aqua cardstock to create some dimension before cutting my paisley pattern. I stitched the entire pattern with teal thread, giving the background a monochromatic look.

Then I added a cupcake from the Birthday Crown Additions set. I cut the base of the cupcake from cardstock and cut the top layers from Marigold and Tundra felt. Using cardstock as the base made it more stable and easy to attach to the front of the card. I embellished with a few beads and then used foam tape to adhere the cupcake to the front of the card. I used a sentiment from a set I designed several years ago. I really love this background!

I made the ribbon using the Prize Winner Die and the small cupcake from the Birthday Crown Additions set (this cupcake will also fit on the circle or on the smaller panels in the Birthday Crown).

I used Marigold for the base of the ribbon and Gossip and Vintage Glass for the other decorative layers.

I used Sunlight, Tangerine, and Tundra for the small cupcake. I embellished with a couple of beads and a sequin to add some sparkle.

I used all three of the new elements from the Birthday Crown Additions Die to create the Crown.

I knew I wanted to mirror the elements, so I simply flipped over the two smaller panels on the left. It works out perfectly since the felt doesn't really have a "wrong" side. It's sort of like getting two for the price of one in that sense.

I decorated each of the front panels before assembling all of my pieces. If you want to see how I put together a Birthday Crown, you can see us stitch one together on one of our Stitching Live episodes HERE.

I added a number 6 to the cupcake using the Accessory Numerals Die to signify the recipient's age. I also decorated with beads and sequins throughout because you can never have too much sparkle on your birthday!

I hope you've enjoyed today's projects! I will be going live tonight at 8pm to answer any questions you might have about today's introductions. I hope to see you there!

In the meantime, it wouldn't be a grand debut without a giveaway! Leave a comment on this blog post letting us know:
