Introducing Our Holiday Star Details Dies
Good morning, everyone! It's Day 2 of our Christmas In July release and today we're introducing two additions to the Basic Star Collection. Just a reminder that all of the new products will be available on Saturday, July 6th at Noon EDT.
I also want to remind you that I will be going live on Instagram this evening at 8pm EDT to answer any questions you have about today's new products.
First up in today's introductions is the Folk Art Star Details Die (retails for $26).
This Scandinavian-inspired design lends Nordic flair to the Basic Star Die (which retails separately for $24). It includes designs for both sizes of the Basic Star shapes as well as smaller star elements that you can use to add a pop of color to the center of your project.
And secondly today, we have the Embroidered Snowy Star Details Die (retails for $22).
This Details die adds a graceful snowflake design to the classic Basic Star Die (which retails separately for $24). It includes embroidered designs for both the large and small star shapes. Embellish your starry snowflakes with beads and sequins for decor that sparkles and dances in the light.
We also have a new color of felt to share today!
Pebble is a wonderful, mid-tone gray. It is a fantastic addition to our line up of neutrals and perfect for wintry projects. It will retail for $6.75 per roll.
Here you can see it next to Overcast and Pewter. I especially love it with Overcast (which you'll see shortly).
Now that you've gotten a peek, let's see what the Guest Creators have to share with you today.
I love the unconventional color palette of Carissa's ornaments! And her generous use of sparkle is sure to make these ornaments shimmer in the tree lights.
Chari's wall hanging has captured my heart! She truly shows off the all-seasons versatility of these dies and it is so inspiring!
I just love seeing other people's creativity in action. Carissa and Chari truly make these new dies shine, don't you think?
I've also been enjoying these new dies. Let's jump in!
I want to start today with the Embroidered Snowy Star Details Die. I really love the embroidered look I can create with these dies. Having the holes pre-cut gives the stitches such a lovely, professional finish.
This die has designs that fit on both sizes of star, so I chose to layer the smaller star with the larger one to create a bold border around the smaller designs.
I used the new Pebble felt along with the Overcast felt on these coordinating ornaments. I used contrasting stitches and beads to dress up the embroidery and add some sparkle.
These would also be really cute as smaller ornaments if you wanted to add some variety to your tree. They would be really cute as tags or gift toppers too!
The larger design follows a very similar style, but with even more space for embellishment. The lazy daisy stitches in the center could also be sewn as straight stitches or even a wonderful place for bugle beads. I think a set of these in coordinating colors would make a wonderful gift!
Next up, I have a brooch made with the Folk Art Star Details Die.
The small star is the perfect size for a festive outfit adornment. The peek-a-boo design allows for a pop of color and the star layer in the center can be sewn either atop the opening or behind it for an additional bit of variety. A few beads and sequins dresses up the embroidery nicely.
I used the larger design to create a set of ornaments. Oooh, I am definitely making more of these in the near future!
The center star on this design can also be sewn either atop or behind the opening. You can see the difference in the styles above.
I chose to use a color palette of Cardinal, Pine Forest, Glacier, Tundra, and Soft Jade for these ornaments.
It really doesn't take much to give these ornaments a bit of interest. Just a little sparkle is all they need.
I think this Pine Forest design might be my favorite. The high contrast of the leafy design really pops on this one.
Well, that's all I have to share with you today, but we will be back tomorrow with more of our Christmas In July release.
In the meantime, it's time for today's giveaway! Leave a comment on this post letting us know:

A little both. A set when I’m gifting and individual qhen i make for myself. I love this star add on. Reminds me of old European Christmas
I love these so much! I love unique designs but you give so much flexibility in your designs I can take one shape and make so many different variations!!
I like making both. When I do the same ornament, I enjoy changing the colors. LOVE these!!
I do both. Coordinating sets are for those friends and family that I know will appreciate the set aspect for their decorating. For others who just love getting something I made, I often like making one-of-a-kind designs, often tied to them in some meaningful way. I can’t wait for this die set!
Ack I love these!!! I love anything star related (it is in my name of course), but these are gorgeous. I tend to make sets that coordinate (but are not identical)
