Introducing Our Furry Friends Collection & The Raising Awareness Die

Good morning and welcome back to Day 2 of our Holiday 2025 new release introductions! Our release will go live on our website at Noon EDT on Saturday, October 4th, but I will be going live on Instagram this evening at 8pm EDT to answer any questions you might have about today's introductions. Let's get to it!

I want to kick things off today with a die that I am very excited to share. One of my core beliefs is that we should give back and help whenever we can. I have wanted to do a charitable die for a long time, but I wasn't sure what to do. After brainstorming with Sean earlier this year, we decided to go with an awareness ribbon shape. The Raising Awareness Die (retails for $25) was born!

We all know someone who has been impacted by an illness or condition that could use additional awareness and resources. The Raising Awareness die makes it easy to create ribbons in any color to support a wide array of causes.

50% of the net proceeds from the sale of this die will be donated to charitable causes, changing on a monthly basis. But this month we're donating a full 100% of the net proceeds split between three charities. That means any sales beyond the cost of actual manufacturing and packaging will be donated. We will be dividing those donations between the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.

We are also introducing the Furry Friends Collection today. Over the years we have had so many requests for dies celebrating our beloved pets, so the Puppy Love, Nine Lives, and Pawprint dies are very exciting!

The Puppy Love Die (retails for $26) features a sweet pup that you are sure to love!

Create your canine companion with the Puppy Love Die! With big, floppy ears, two eye styles, and an optional tongue, you can customize your creations to make each project unique.

If the Puppy Love Die doesn't quite represent your dog, perhaps the Pawprint Die (retails for $27) will be more your speed.

Our pets are family and we want to include them, too! This Pawprint Die makes it easy to commemorate your furry friends on ornaments, wall decor, and more! There is even an optional heart that you can use to show the love you share.

And for the feline-lovers among us, the Nine Lives Die (retails for $38) is just purrrrrfect! If you've followed me online for any length of time, there is a good chance that you have seen at least one of our kitties on display. They are a constant source of companionship (and noise) and I wouldn't want to be without them. The Nine Lives Die is the perfect opportunity to recreate Louie, Cheddar, and Betty.

Cat lovers unite! The Nine Lives Die features a sweet feline that can be customized to look like your own furry friends. Two eye styles, optional patches, and stripes give you a multitude of ways to represent your favorite kitties.

We also thought it might be useful to have a couple of additional heathered neutrals on hand to represent your furry friends, so we're debuting two more colors of felt this month!

Shagbark is a heathered gray-brown. It is a warm tone that fits into our spectrum beautifully.

Here you can see Shagbark with Furrow and Cobblestone.

We're also introducing Soapstone.

This heathered gray is lighter than Granite, but it still has a richness that is simply beautiful. I know I will be reaching for this color often!

Here you can see Soapstone with Inkwell and Granite.

Both of these new colors will be available for $7.25 per 5" x 36" roll of felt.

Ok! Now that I've made all of those introductions, let's check in with the team to see what these talented ladies have up their sleeves!

I love how Audrey adds so much life to her characters with pink cheeks! And that bow on the puppy? Stop! So cute! Check out her projects over on her Instagram.

Lisa personalized her pups with bold monograms and hints of sparkle. See more of her projects over on her blog!

Mary was able to vary the styles of her dog by stitching their ears differently. She also added her kitties' tiger stripes in two different ways, giving each feline its own style. I love that her tweaks add so much variety to her projects. See more of her projects on her Instagram!

I wanted to create a full set of pet ornaments to just play around with the different style options included in these dies.

I just love that calico! You can use the patches individually, but I went with both on this kitty ornament.

I also chose to use the open eyes on this kitty. There are open and squinty eye options. I used Tundra, Inkwell, Gingersnap, Satin Slipper (for the ears and nose), and Grove (for the eyes) to complete my kitty.

This pup uses the new Soapstone felt along with Granite, Inkwell, Tundra, and Taffy (for the tongue). I used blue beads and sequins to create the eyes and black beads to give his muzzle some texture.

This pawprint ornament is a gift for friends who recently brought home a new puppy. I used Shagbark, Tundra, and Satin Slipper to create this ornament.

On the back, I personalized it with the puppy's first initial. This is that new alphabet that you'll get to hear more about tomorrow.

I just love these pet dies. It's so much fun to see the characters' personalities come together as you sew.

This tiger kitty reminds me of my Cheddar (though he has some white on his face too). I used Squash and Russet along with Petal (for the nose and ears) to bring him to life. I also used a single thread to sew on some whiskers. The Nine Lives die includes both this cutaway stripes option as well as triangles you can simply stitch or glue on to represent stripes. It's truly a personal preference situation.

This dog reminds me of a hound or beagle. I opted not to use the tongue on this pup, but I did go for some color blocking to add interest. His ears are Shagbark, the muzzle is Cocoa, and his nose is Truffle. I added a couple of spots with beads and sequins and I added some interest to the muzzle with some small stitches. So cute!

I am completely smitten with these pets and I hope you will be too!

Now on to my Raising Awareness projects. I wanted to create an ornament that would represent each of the organizations we will donate to with the proceeds from this month's sales.

I chose Satin Slipper to represent breast cancer, Cascade to represent ovarian cancer, and Marigold to represent childhood cancer. Then I decorated each one a little differently.

I chose to use a contrasting stitch on the Satin Slipper ribbon. I used DMC #776 which is the color I would normally use for Taffy. That slight contrast adds interest without making the overall look too busy.

The Cascade ribbon got a boost from a small floral embellishment. This flower and leaves is from the Mini Egg Basket Details Die. It's a small addition, but it adds just enough interest.

And finally, I used sequins and beads to give the Marigold ribbon some texture and shine. You may also notice that I stitched the curvature of the ribbon differently on this ornament. I couldn't determine if there was a consensus in the awareness ribbon community about how the ribbon should be drawn (curvature in front or behind the straight sides), so I designed it to work either way. I hope that flexibility will be useful.

Thank you all so much for joining me today, everyone! We have so much more to show you throughout this week, so please be sure to check in tomorrow for even more introductions. And remember, I will be live on Instagram tonight at 8pm EDT to answer any questions you might have about today's introductions.
