Introducing Lil' Dotty, Spring Flowers, and the Chevron Coverall Die

Good morning and welcome to the final day of introductions for our Spring 2025 release! The new products will be available on our website at Noon EDT tomorrow (3/29). I will also be live tonight at 8pm EDT on Instagram answering any questions you might have about today's introductions. Why don't we jump in?

Our first new die today is the Chevron Coverall Die (retails for $24).

The Chevron Coverall Die cuts a chevron striped background sized for an A2 card front (the die doesn't have an outer cutting edge though, so you have some flexibility if you would like to try other card sizes or techniques). This classic pattern adds texture and interest to your cards, making even the simplest creation feel spectacular!

Next up is the Lil' Dotty Die (retails for $38).

Is there any more cheerful sight than a lucky little ladybug visiting your garden? Their very presence is sure to bring big smiles (well, unless you’re an aphid). This die includes three sizes of ladybugs, perfect for any project your heart desires.

And, finally, we have the Spring Flowers Die (retails for $44).

The Spring Flowers Die includes a variety of flowers that can be stacked and layered, mixed and matched to create a variety of sunny Spring blooms. This die also includes optional embroidery dies that add beautiful texture to your layers of petals.

Now how about we check out the Guest Designers' projects?

I love Chari's alternative stitching style on the Chevron Coverall Die. It's such a clever option that really changes the entire look of the background! Make sure to visit her blog to see the rest of Chari's projects!

Mary's adorable Spring garland is so incredible! Every time I look at it I see a charming new detail. It truly is a wonderful piece of home decor sure to brighten any room. Check out her Instagram to see all of those details up close.

I just love everything that these talented ladies have shared this week! Let's all make sure to sing their praises for all of their hard work.

Now I'd like to share a few final projects with all of you. Let's start with a sweet ladybug garland.

I wanted to create something with a classic ladybug and flower feel. There's something about white flowers with yellow middles and the iconic red and black ladybugs, isn't there?

I used the new Spring Flowers die to cut the flowers. I stitched the optional details in white to create a monochromatic style with great texture.

I added Daffodil centers and embellished with sequins from the Hello, Sunshine Color Story. I added Poinsettia Bloom petals in Peridot to look like leaves.

I cut the Lil' Dotty ladybugs (these are the largest size in the die) from Cardinal and Inkwell felts and added black sequins to some of the spots for added sparkle. I also used a flower stamen to look like antennae. I really love these little cuties!

The thing I love most about this garland is that it's not terribly specific in terms of holiday, so I can keep this up for a while without it feeling out-of-date.

Let's keep peeking at Lil' Dotty projects, shall we? You all know that I love making things that can be worn, so I have a brooch to share.

I cut a base for my tiny ladybug (this is the smallest in the die) using the Falling Leaves Die. I cut the ladybug from Cardinal and Inkwell felts. I added tiny french knots to dress up the wings and then added antennae with a single strand of thread. I used clear beads and sequins to look like dew drops on the leaf and add some interest.

Here is the back of the brooch. I snipped openings for the ends of the pin and then stitched the bar into place. Then I added a tiny bit of stuffing before sewing up the outer edge.

I can't wait to wear this to add a cheerful detail to an outfit this Spring!

Hey! Maybe I will pair it with this charming headband! Too much?

I made this headband using the middle-sized ladybug. I stuck with the traditional Cardinal and Inkwell color palette, but this time I added a tiny flower (this is from Fresh Flowers) with a little yellow beaded center.

I added antennae (I shortened the length a bit by tying a knot in the stamen) before sewing up the outer perimeter. Then I hot glued the ladybug to a simple, satin-covered headband. Tilly has already laid claim.

Next up, I have a card made with the Chevron Coverall Die.

I cut a white panel and sewed it with a rainbow of thread colors.

I added a sentiment (this is the Opposites Attract stamp set from The Greetery), popped up on foam tape. Then I added a sprinkling of iridescent sequins to add some sparkle. It really is a simple card, but the background adds plenty of interest.

My last project to share today is a set of ornaments I made with the Spring Flowers Die.

One of my favorite things about this die is how many ways you can mix and match the different layers and embroidery options to create a multitude of styles. I used the new Hello, Sunshine Color Story on these ornaments.

This first one uses a Marine base with a Sea Spray 6-petal flower. a Clementine 12-petal flower, and a Daffodil center. I used the large embroidery design to add lazy daisy stitches (I usually use six strands of thread, but I used three here instead) to the petals and then embellished the ends with beads. I also added tiny, freehand stitches to the Clementine flower and sequins to the Sea Spray flower to add interest.

I like to have ornaments of different sizes on my seasonal trees, so I made the Soft Jade ornament with the smaller sized flower and the optional embroidery. I also sewed the center in an alternate way, just to switch things up. Sometimes it's fun to challenge yourself to try to come up with different ways to stitch the same design.

This last ornament is another great example of that. The Clementine flower layered on the Daffodil base uses that same optional stitching design, but this time I sewed diamonds instead of triplets of lazy daisy stitches. That diamond space is a great place to add embellishments! In fact, there are several openings in these designs to add a bit of glitz.

That's all for me this week. I hope you've enjoyed today's introductions. Just a reminder, I will be live on Instagram tonight at 8pm EDT to answer any questions you have about today's introductions.
