Introducing Cupid's Arrow Details Die & Announcing Our Giveaway Winners!

Good morning, everyone, and welcome to Release Day! I have one last introduction to make, but first we have some winners to announce!

We have one randomly selected winner from each day of introductions.

On Day 1 I asked "Do you celebrate Valentine's Day?"

Mary said:

She will win a $50 gift certificate to our store!

On Day 2 I asked "If you had to choose...flowers or chocolates?"

Michelle P said:

She will win a $50 gift certificate to our store!

On Day 3 I asked "What's your favorite breakfast treat? Do you favor coffee cake? A nice fruit danish? How about waffles?"

Congratulations to all of you and many thanks to everyone for playing along! Please contact Customer Service (customerservice@poshtadesign.com) within 30 days to claim your prize.

The release will go live today at Noon ET, but I thought we could all use one last bit of inspiration before the launch. So today I am showcasing the last of our new products today, the Cupid's Arrow Details Die (retails for $32). This die coordinates with the Basic Heart Die (available separately for $17).

The plucky little cherub of love has struck! Use the Cupid’s Arrow Details Die to add charming arrow details to your Basic Heart shapes. This die includes adornments for both heart sizes, offering versatility to your projects.

I may have gone a little pillow crazy this year for Christmas and I realized that after putting away all of my pretty new pillows my living room is going to look a tad spare. So I decided to create some new pillows for myself using this new die.

I made a set of two coordinating pillows. I wanted them to look nice together, but I didn't want them to match exactly. I bought two linen pillow covers online and then embellished with felt appliqués cut from the new Lovebug Color Story. I will say, sewing from the inside of a pillow case requires patience, a thimble, and a swear jar (that one may just be for me), but it is totally worth it! You could also assemble the designs and adhere them to a pillow case using iron-on adhesive or hot glue if you'd prefer.

On this pillow, I used the small Cupid's Arrow Details shape. I chose not to use any sparkly embellishments because there's a little girl in my house that likes to use my pillows and sofa cushions to build forts. I didn't want the beads or sequins to get pulled or damaged. Instead, I embroidered the "XO" from the Scalloped Heart Details Die to add a bit of interest.

I changed the design on this pillow to include the large Cupid's Arrow motif. I'm particularly fond of the fletchings on the large arrow. Please note: the heart shapes are not included in the Cupid's Arrow Details Die. Those are the Basic Heart shapes. This new die just cuts the background and arrow details.

That's all for me today! Thank you all so much for joining me and for following along this week. The release is today 12/30 at Noon ET so set your clocks.

And just another quick note. I just want to say thank you again to everyone who has joined in the fun over the past year. Whether you made a purchase, sent encouragement on Instagram or via email, or simply read a blog post, your support has mean the world to me and my family. We appreciate all of you so much and we are so grateful to have you here. Thank you and have a safe and happy new year!
